Welcome to the Social Enterprise Project website!
We are a new student society set up in April 2009 with one purpose. To promote Social Enterprise! We'll be doing this through some fantastic promotional events, renowned speakers, enterprise competitions, work experience placements, and of course our own projects.
To give a very brief idea of what a Social Enterprise is, it's basically the half-way house between Business and Charity. It's a self-sustaining business that makes the world a better place. A great example is the Big Issue and others include the Eden Project, John Lewis and Frank Water. They can be anything and everything and no idea is off limits.
